Currently we have had massive fires in Australia, some of these were created by arsonists, and they have killed almost 200 people, and ruined countless other's lives. It has been the biggest natural disaster Australia has had. I hope you find this interesting. aslan Kelly Culliney

Thank you, by my heart goes out to the victims and anyone who knows them, that is awful ): i heard about it here in Hawaii on the news, but its always hard to get a first hand spin on the story that way. If you have the time, I would be very grateful if you could answer some questions about how it has affected you and people you might know. Such as how its has personally affected you, how it has personally affected people you know, if you know any of the victims and could get their personal opinions. Thank you so very much for your time, and I hope you stay clear of this disaster. robbi Robbie

I am not in the middle of the fire, and none of my family is affected but I do know quite a bit about it. Feel free to ask any questions. aslan Kelly Culliney

Ok. Thanks. If you wanted to give some comments on it about how you view it, personally. ie. is it a national crisis, if so how, the response from you and your country in general. How has this affected peoples mindset? What is your personal view towards the arsonists who started the fire? Are they being perused/prosecuted? What safety measures are being instituted in response to this disaster? Could you compare this to the biggest recent american disaster, 9/11? and any other comments you would like to include thank you so much! robbi Robbie

It is very much a national crisis, it has been headlines on the news for many days now and huge fundraising events have been created to aid the thousands homeless. The response from our country is phenomenal, in a few days we raised over 20 million dollars, and the number is far greater now. My personal view towards the arsonists is not so much anger as I am worried. The arsonists clearly have mental disabilities and I am afraid that they will endeavour to create more fires. They have some suspects, but definite arsonists to arrest are yet to come up. The police are trying extremely hard to find them, though it is very hard to catch an arsonist, because they don't leave many traces and if they do it's generally burnt before they arrive.

There are a few fires still ongoing, and controlled fires are being made by fire fighters around remaining towns so that the blazes cannot reach them. Many firefighters are also flying to the area to give much needed back up and support. Obviously 9/11 was disastrous, and it is probably more well known though my opinion is that this disaster was equally bad in it's devestation on nation's and individuals.

That's really all I know, I hope it's enough! aslan Kelly Culliney
